I got finger print notice on 6-16-07.
I never got receipt notice and I could not read the number in back of my check image. My attorney even did not get any receipt notice either:confused:
The finger print is scheduled for July 7th. I sent all app. to NCS on the June first and they transferred to TCS. PD of Sep 2003 and I-140 was approved 2005. I also apply for travel doc. and work permit but no receipt so far.:rolleyes:

Guys
Guys don't talk about what undocumented workers are going to get, every one has their own story. Instead of comparing like they are going to get these and those, we need to concentrate on what we want. We don't even need to spend lot of time to discuss in this forum about what undocumented workers are going to get, nobody knows when they will get these privileges. In USA you don't get anything that easily, you have to work hard to earn it.
We need to concentrate on IV goals to remove the retrogression and backlog elimination by spreading IV its agenda to our friends to get more funds and members. I believe this approach will help us to achieve our goals, instead talking about about legal vs. illegal.

I wish they go after the fake companies that acts as GC boutique and also those who "bought" GC from them. (I mean not really bought, but who got GC from a company who originally never intended to work for them or never did). And of course use those numbers for LEGITIMATE cases (I hate to see those numbers go waste).

Has the issue of waiting times before being eligible to apply for citizenship been raised at all by Immigration Voice?? Currently one needs to wait for 5 years after being granted permanent status to be eligible to apply for citizenship. Now, considering the current backlog and the fact that Congress has mandated processing times to be much less than what we are experiencing, has the issue of getting credit for the lost backlog years in the citizenship process been raised? As I explained it to a friend the other day: This is becoming a retirement program - over 5 years at labor cert + another 4 at USCIS + 5 years waiting period + 3 years citizenship process = 0ver 17 years before we can cast a vote in this nation to which we contribute economically, intellectually, and socially. Not to forget that we are the ones doing things by the book and following the law on immigration.

Even though right now FB2 is not far behind the gap will progressively increase due to post given below. Consider 2 glasses half full. If you pour 50% water from 1 glass to another 1 glass will be 75% full(EB) and other glass will be 25%full(FB).
Our intention is to findout if CIS interpretation is correct. If spouse can stay in the country with EAD and AP and if Primary gets GC first. It won't matter much becos, that EAD will not have any strings attached on same or similar etc. So we should be OK.

Here is my case. My lawyer sent the papers on July 5th. and the package were received at NSC by F HEINAUER. We're a family of 4.
I have a LUD on the approved I140 on 07/28/07 (TX).

Make and take some big posters (small with BOLD letters would help) with you...just the gathering wont help that much unless we have some big poster in hands. This would help if we are pictured by media.

I got some good news. I called uscis just now and got two receipt numbers, one for 485 and one for EAD. Checks not cashed yet. I don't have the receipt number for AP yet. So it seems that our box is not lost and they're processing them, though so slowly. My application arrived on 7/3 at NSC, received by R. William at 9:03am.
Hope every one of us will receive our receipts, EAD and AP asap.

Received our green cards today. Will continue to contribute to IV.
You can download the form from SSA website and fill the information for each applicant and take it to the SSA office. You can get rid of 'authorized to work with INS permit only' label of your SS card by using the same form and get a new card.
Take the forms, your PR card, old SS card. It just takes few minutes. They will take the info, shred the old cards, forms, etc. and will mail the cards to your address...Just check other thread ' Dos and Donts after GC' fo rmore info, and open a separate thread so as to not to mix up the original content of the thread...

We cannot get far with this EB2 Vs EB3 fight.
We understand EB3's situation, however pitting one against another will not help.
Sanhari: why not take your efforts one step ahead and work for fixes like visa recapture. That would be permanent solution and doesnot favor any particular group. You will be able to get support of EB2 and EB1 folks.
I know IV core is focusing its efforts on CIR. CIR is dead meat or going to be... considering this, is IV core working on any piecemeal reforms? Can somebody from the IV core comment????

Thanks gc28262 for your contributions to this drive. I request others to pitch in as well. We can discuss the nitty-gritties till we bleed. But that won't achieve anything. It will not stop the minformation being spread. We have to collect enough evidence and present it to the media. 4-5 job ads is just the beginning, we need a collection of few hundred to prove this is the prevalent trend.

Over the past 4 years, I have contributed to IV several times. I was also a monthly subscriber of $20 for over a year until my credit card expired and the payments stopped.
What pains me is that inspite of several requests, i have not been granted access to donor forms. Perhaps there is a waiting list for donor access or my priority date is not current for the same.:confused:
I will try my best to make it to DC events, but please accept my small contribution in case i am unable to make the trip.
